Anne Charnock, Public Pages

Anne Charnock is exhibiting in Public Pages
26 March - 8 April 2007, Portland Place Building, University of Plymouth.
Curator - Mark Leahy, School of Writing, Dartington College of Arts, Totnes.

Public Pages is an exhibition of Text Art and Visual Poetry bringing together poets, artists and makers of works that explore the visual and cultural impact of the sign and the slogan in public space. The exhibition in being held alongside the academic conference Poetry and Public Language.

Astrolabe

Tim Machin, Winner of Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth's Emergency2 competition in 2005 will be showing at the gallery this summer. The show will feature new pieces concieved specifically for Aspex's beautiful (and brand new) converted Georgian navy store house.

How Happy a State Does a Miller Possess

A project with [Insert Space] Tim MAchin is one of four artists (the others being Marcus Coates, Blue Firth and Leo Fitzmaurice) commissioned to create new work for selected public houses in Digbeth, a long time industrial area and home to a great number of pubs of varying ages and styles, each with its own atmosphere and communities. Many are still managed by families that hold a wealth of local knowledge and stories. Machin's plan is to create a 'pub walk' where CAMRA meets Pevsner...
