A common thread in my work has been an interrogation into the boundaries set between the artwork, artist and audience. Alongside this I explore social and relational aesthetic issues in art, examining how the audience can participate in the process of art-making. I am interested in how art can foreground social issues and push the boundaries of what is usually designated 'community art'.

These interests have recently been applied to the creation of the project
British Born Chinese Lesbian and the website www.bbclesbian.co.uk, which is an attempt to make visible the UK Chinese lesbian community, as well as Big Sister, an interactive installation that I ran as part of my residency at the Chinese Arts Centre.

It has been from my personal dialogues with women from
British Born Chinese Lesbian that signals both a personal new way of working and thinking using video and sound, and issues that touch upon the British Born Chinese identity.

I am currently working as Learning Co-ordinator at the Chinese Arts Centre - Manchester.
