I am interested in creating situations for the act of transformation of the everyday. By working on mundane objects I try to reappropriate the fixedness of the thing, through investing imagination into other uses of the materials comprising this thing.

It is with this process in mind that I approach an interrogation of established practice of ownership and appropriation, manifest in the idea of the public collection.

Projects I have undertaken include a self-initiated residency in south Leeds with a focus on reclaiming negative images in the press: and working under and developing the structure of an art prize, through collaborations with international practitioners and 17 other emerging artists based in the North of England.
