Suite Studio Group is based in Salford (on the fringes of Manchester city centre) and comprises a broad range of practices. Members meet on a regular basis for group ‘crits’ to support an atmosphere of critical debate. Artists from across the North West have been invited to participate in these discussions and recently this process has been widened to include key curators, artists and critics from across the UK.

In addition to the artists who have spaces at our studios, Suite also offers membership to a limited number of practitioners who wish to be part of an artists’ network but have no need for a studio space. All members are featured on this website.

Suite’s artists have shown their work internationally with exhibitions in the USA, China, South Korea, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands and Ireland. Recent shows in London include At The LookOut, Hyde Park, Victoria and Albert Museum, Royal Academy, Agnew’s Gallery, Pangolin, Standpoint Gallery, Pumphouse Gallery in Battersea Park, Collectible, Zeitgeist Art Projects, APT Gallery, Stark Gallery, Transition Gallery and Picturehouse, Hackney. Group members have participated in prestigious festivals and art fairs including London Art Fair, Sluice Art Fair, Manchester Contemporary, Liverpool Biennial, Asia Triennial and the AND (Abandon Normal Devices) Festival.

Suite artists have also exhibited at regional galleries including Wolstenholme Creative Space, Liverpool; Lighthouse and Gallery 40, Brighton; Aid and Abet in Project Space, Leeds; Harris Museum and Gallery, Preston; Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne; Over+Out, Lincoln; Henry Moore Institute, Leeds; Turner Contemporary, Margate; Rochester Art Gallery; Royal West of England Academy, Bristol; Oriel Davies Gallery, Wales plus major installations at Attingham Park, Shropshire, Compton Verney, Warwickshire, Keddleston Hall, Derbyshire and Pallant House Gallery, Chichester.

Closer to home, Suite members have been involved in projects at Cornerhouse, Bankley , Castlefield Gallery, Bureau, Rogue Project Space, Islington Mill, Mid Pennine Arts, Chinese Arts Centre, Waterside Arts Centre, Gallery Oldham, Bury Art Gallery, Chapel Gallery, Cross Street Gallery, Office Kollective Contemporary Arts, Wigan and Turnpike Gallery, Leigh and Paradise Mill, Macclesfield.
